About the R&D Center

We are focusing on developing new technologies to build upgraded transportation infrastructure system with core technologies and patented technologies.
Our R&D center is researching and developing solution related to being intelligent and high-tech in road/rail transportation.

Most of our researchers have the best expertise in TCS/ETCS, Rail Train Control System/Rail Communication System in Korea.
They have gained much of development experience in these areas for over 10 years.

We have developed ourselves TCS/ETCS/Free Flow Tolling System and also have solutions related to rail transportation which were co-developed in alliance with global & Korean business partners.
So we can consistently responds to the needs of our customers and solve problems of our customers.

Along with the advancement of Korean Road & Rail Transportation, we are doing our best to research and develop new solutions to help with next generation transportation infrastructures.

    • TCS (Toll Fare Collection System)
      First, the system classifies types of the vehicle when a car passes tollgates, then it issues a toll ticket automatically.
      Second, the car driver pulls the ticket out of the automatic toll ticket dispenser and takes it. When he/she arrives at the final tollgate, he/she hands the ticket to a clerk in the booth and he/she pays his/her fare in cash or a transportation card.
      His/her fare is determined by his/her car type and distance traveled.

    • ETCS (Electronic Toll Fare Collection System)
      The system is a toll collecting system by wireless
      communication(by DSRC)
      between OBUs installed in the cars and the antennas on road.
      The car drivers do not need to stop to pay his/her fare.

    • Multi-Lane Free Flow Tolling System

      The system provides differentiated service by
      using wireless communication(DSRC) in Multi-lanes instead of physically islanded toll booth.
      The car drivers do not need to drive on a specific lanes to pay his/her fare in order to use ETCS system, instead they can enjoy free flow of driving.

    • C-ITS (Cooperative-ITS)

      The system can allow drivers on the road to use road safer with
      WAVE communicaton technology.
      By using WAVE communicaton technology, mutual interactions between the cars, cars and RSE(Road Side Equipment),
      or cars and portable personal devices can be possible.
      Additionally, traffic information, such as traffic information, emergency situation and traffic jam information, can be exchanged between one another.

    • Electronic interlocking system

      SSI System(Interlocking logic S/W) is a core train controlling system that allows train service to be safe by collecting information around railroad and relevant operating control order.

      SSI is designed with 2 out of 3 architecture for safety of signal controlling, and it always works with fail-safe.

      Over decades, SSI system has been selected by all over EU and was also selected by Gyeongbu(Seoul~Busan) railroad as an electronic interlocking system and this proves SSI's stabilities & reliability.
    • TFM system

      TFM system - TFM is a system that gets controlling order from electronic interlocking system to control the site facilities and then sends back the condition of the site facilities to the interlocking device.

      Main function modules in TFM are UM and PM.

      UM(Universal Module) is an in/output interface module between electronic interlocking device and signaling device
      (signal flag, interface relay, line circuit, turnout, heating device, LP, PSC etcs)

      PM(Point Machine Module) is an in/output interface module between electronic interlocking device and point machine.
    • FEPOL system

      FEPOL(Front End Processing Operation Level) is a subsystem of IXL that does interface between devices.

      Local data transmission system processes the controlling messages from CTC and LCP of railroad control center then it transmits those messages to SSI and ATC.
      It also transmits collected information in SSI and ATC to CTC,
      LCP and overall monitoring system.

      ZEP Set-up/Removal, ZCP Set-up/Removal, CPT Set- up/Removal,
      Direction locking, speed limit Set-up/Removal etc
    • MJ81 electric switch machine

      MJ81 is a stationary electric switch machine with high performance.
      it has been used in France, Korea, and worldwide railroad.

      It can be remotely controlled and installed on a sleeper or concrete track which supports switch blade.

      MJ81 electric switch machine prevents switch blade from moving by locking at both sides of the machine.

      It can be manually operated and operated effectively in various temperatures.
